			Training Programmes for Healthcare Professionals The SMART UK Teaching Programme is designed specifically for Healthcare Professionals working with substance misuse in the community and the prison service. Not only are Sue and Kim both Addiction Specialists, they are both fully qualified members of the British Acupuncture Council and Kim is also a fully qualified member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine.Kim is also enrolled at the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London to study for his Masters in Neuroscience. In Britain our Drug and Alcohol Workers and Prison Officers are the most professional in the World and we at SMART UK consider ourselves privileged to work with them.

			Can I do the training? If you are actively working with substance miuse clients in a recognised treatment setting then you could undertake the training. SMART UK have trained a variety of professionals from CPN's, Counsellors, Prison Officers, Probation Officers, Nurses, Outreach Workers, Social Workers - the list is endless.
