SUE WINS AWARD FOR HER HUMAN RIGHTS WORK

Sue Cox wins prestigious Inspiration Award for Woman 2014 for her work with Human Rights.
Founder of SMART UK and more recently co-founder of Survivors Voice Europe, Sue has taught thousands of healthcare professionals and worked tirelessly for the empowerment of substance misuse recovery patients and survivors of childhood abuse.

In a secretly nominated category, Sue was overwhelmed to have been chosen specifically for her human rights work.  Having represented survivors of childhood abuse at the UN twice and specifically been part of the team spearheading the UN’s landmark challenge of the vatican’s conduct under the Convention of the Rights of the Child, this accolade was particularly humbling.

I am still speechless that I won! More than anything it showed me that there are people out there who are listening to what we say, and are looking beyond the “victims” and recognising the larger agenda!
Thank you so much for all of your support and votes, it meant so much to me

Since the award ceremony at Cadogan Hall in London on 2nd October Sue has been speaking at the International Secularism Conference in Oxford and is currently in preparation for the massive demand throughout the UK and the USA for her Two-day Workshop ‘The Battle of the Abused Brain’.
